I know 2020 was a very challenging year for everyone.
I wanted to highlight some of the positive things I managed to complete during this year. My plans for the year were changed after the pandemic began. I plotted my goals again formally using a 'Self Authoring' online program in the first lockdown. Here is what I managed to complete with the remainder of the year.
Career goals
- I was named one of the 'Stars of the Week' on 18/12/2020.
- Successfully completed teaching application and interviews.
- Successfully completed all summer tasks and UEL tests.
- Delivered an excellent micro-teach session to all of my colleagues.
- Completed a secondary school semester in a school in East London.
Fitness goals
- Raised money over 100 pounds for Cancer Research in the 'Race for Life 2020'.
- Completed six long-distance races.
- Ran a 10km race in 46 minutes in March 2020.
- Participated in running events in London Victoria Park, Richmond Park, NHS 5km and the Stratford Olympic Park.
Here are some pictures of me after I completed the running events.
Personal goals
- Completed one month of boxing at a martial arts gym.
- Created customised clothing items for my loved ones at Christmas time.
- Made some great new memories with my long-term friends and reconnected with other friends.
- Played competitive football 12v12 matches (where restrictions allowed).
- Built a stronger relationship with both of my parents and my brother.
- Modelled for a successful photoshoot for a new tie product range.
- Started and maintain several positive habits/routines during lockdown.
- Kept a 30 day streak in Duolingo.
- Read 2 books in lockdown.
Here are some of the highlights of the photoshoot.
Here are some of the clothing items that I made for my cousin, which was something I have always wanted to make for them.
