this topic is highly controversial the main reason for making this topic is to investigate legally the value that is placed on humans in peoples lives and situations. In my own opinion you can not quantify human life surrounding these types of lawsuits these factors are considered: lost earning potential, medical expenses, pain and suffering, funeral and burial costs, loss of companionship. For me there is a non physical aspect of a human's life.
In different counties there are different categories for valuations of human life.
In the USA, financial costs for loss of life accidently can go as high as 10 million pounds.
In the UK, the sum to be awarded as damages under this section shall be £15,120 ( this is a statuary fee) (Fatal Accidents Act 1976).
In India, there is no such policy for legal protections for human life, this is only dependant on money transfer insurance policies. e.g. if you pay into a scheme and an accidental death happens you will be entitled to financial ramifications.
In different countries there is clear and vague valuation for financial worth for human life and the pay-outs you are entitled to.
